Neptune, the ruler of dreams and illusions, began its retrograde in Aries today. This transit lasts from July 7th until December 12th, and it is a powerful opportunity to evaluate where we are heading in our lives. Neptune briefly entered the fiery sign of Aries in March, 2025, but re-entered the sign in January, 2026. Neptune will remain Aries until 2039, and it holds the potential to be a period of tremendous growth and revolutionary action for humanity.
While Neptune spends nearly half the year in retrograde, the arrival of this retrograde acts as an opportunity for us to check in on how our year has been progressing since January. As the first Neptune Retrograde in Aries of our lifetimes, this transit has the potential to bring illumination and clarity around our goals, our dreams, and who we are becoming as people. This transit can help us see through illusion, showing us what is real and what is not. Although this may bring discomfort, it ultimately helps us to align our actions and our dreams, with a clear vision of what it is we truly want.
Aries asks us to reflect on who we are and to step boldly forward through action. Many of us have been experiencing personal transformation and change, and the larger world has been experiencing change as well. Many of us have been exploring new callings, new careers, new dreams. This transit provides a chance to evaluate these dreams with honesty.
